Overview

The Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) will be holding a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) training class to staff our evening shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm). We anticipate the class to begin mid to late summer and will last for approximately seven (7) weeks. Successful candidates will be hired as paid temporary employees for the duration of the class.

 

The training class will be a combination of classroom and clinical training. Applicants who are selected for the training program and successfully complete the course and pass both the written and clinical examinations will be eligible to apply for LNA positions at VVH.

Who May Apply

This position, LNA Training Class (#15203), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors

Employees in this class will be expected to work in any of the assigned sections; assignments may vary on a daily basis. This class is utility in nature and employees must be flexible in changing from one type of work and location to another on short notice. Considerable standing, walking, and lifting, and carrying of heavy objects may be required. Incumbents must be prepared to drive a vehicle in all types of weather.
