Title: Financial Manager III - Limited Service

Overview
The Financial Manager III will work in the Federal Programming section of the Division of Finance & Administration at the Agency of Transportation.
This position will manage various aspects of fiscal operations for federally funded programs. Daily duties may include checking project financial status, database updates, production of reports and interaction with project development staff. Familiarity with funding of federal aid highway projects will be helpful. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Excell and Access are essential. Work will be carried out in an office setting with the potential for telework on an approved schedule.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in any discipline that includes or is supplemented by 20 credit hours in accounting AND three (3) or more years of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience INCLUDING experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR
Bachelor's degree in any discipline AND five (5) or more years of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience INCLUDING experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR
Associate's degree AND seven (7) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR
High School diploma AND nine (9) years or more of professional level accounting, budgeting, fiscal auditing, fiscal analysis, federal program fiscal administration or other professional level fiscal operations experience which has included experience managing programs, funding sources or staff.
OR
One years as a Financial Manager II with the State of Vermont.
Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
