Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Rights Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Agency of Transportation. This role offers the opportunity to work agency-wide, collaborating with multiple program partners, including our transportation contractors and workforce.


This position will:

  • Coordinate and support civil rights programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove workforce barriers and support workforce development.
  • Help individuals succeed in transportation-related careers.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to efficiently gather and interpret data.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Suite, including Forms and Power Automate.
  • Strategic and innovative thinking.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Considerable travel to district offices, work sites, and other field locations will be required, for which private means of transportation must be available. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years or more of experience involving small business development, Equal Employment Opportunity or Affirmative Action programs, administration of outreach programs, or in a human resources field.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, law, education, social work, human resources, or related field.
