Title: AOT Contract Administration Chief

Overview
The Chief of Contract Administration is responsible for the coordination and oversight of all Agency of Transportation (AOT) procurements and contracts for construction, services, grant agreements, and work authorizations. The Chief will ensure that state and federal regulatory compliance is upheld for multiple funding sources. The position will work closely with the leadership team to develop and sustain a high level of employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity. A successful candidate will develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies within the section.

Duties are performed in an open office environment. Private means of transportation may be required. Professional demeanor and ability to manage conflict is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree AND nine (9) years or more of management experience in one or more the following areas (a) development of program rules and policies; (b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans: (c) program evaluation; or (d) budget preparation OR highway maintenance, engineering, construction, planning or a combination thereof.
OR
High school diploma or equivalent AND eleven (11) years or more of management experience in one or more the following areas (a) development of program rules and policies; (b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans: (c) program evaluation; and (d) budget preparation OR highway maintenance, engineering, construction, planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in state/federal procurement, contracting, administration, or business related field.
