Overview

This position will support the Agency of Transportation Audit Bureau with a variety of required tasks, which include, but are not limited to: financial reviews on indirect cost rates, perform invoice reviews, assist in gathering documentation and preparation for submittal relative to the Annual Single Audit Review, assist with coordinating with various sections of the Agency to obtain documentation required to support audits, organize documentation with reference numbers, ensure the auditor's requests are met, and prepare documents to be uploaded for submittal, assist with requesting and gathering information for Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) Audit, assist with improper payment reviews by FHWA, perform rate schedule reviews for pending contracts, evaluate internal controls, identify gaps, and develop corrective actions, assist with subrecipient monitoring of state and federal grants, and perform subrecipient single audit reviews.

 

This position may be eligible for telework and flexible schedule. The position is set to expire on 05/01/2023 with possibility of extension.

Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in standard office setting, though occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, public or business administration, or a related field AND one (1) year or more of financial operations, accounting, contract administration, or related experience.

OR

Associates degree or specialized training in accounting or a related field AND two (2) years or more of financial operations, accounting, contract administration, or related experience.

OR

Four (4) years or more of financial operations or program audit experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Education or training in accounting or auditing, plus experience in a government audit role.
