Overview
The AOT Pavement Marking & Sign Crew Specialist is responsible for completing field work assigned to their crew in the Northeast Region of the Agency of Transportation. Duties may include manufacturing, maintaining, replacing, and installation of signs, as well as pavement marking activities. This position requires a good understanding of technical job duties, policies, and safety practices for work activities. This position will work Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed to complete assigned projects.

Environmental Factors
Duties require exposure to extreme outdoor weather. An employee must be able to use tools and lift materials commonly used as they apply to sign replacement, installation, and pavement marking activities. Normal dangers associated with work on or near heavy equipment, hazardous materials, and debris from roadside litter are present. May be exposed to blood and airborne pathogens. Hazards are always present when working on roads with moving traffic. Participation in a random drug and alcohol-testing program is required. Overtime work can be anticipated.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent AND three (3) or more years of highway maintenance or construction experience.
Special Requirements
A Class B Commercial Driver's License is required.
Class A Commercial Driver's license with tanker endorsement required within 6 months of date of hire.
An incumbent must live within reasonable proximity of assigned workstation.
